The Board of Trustees is responsible for the day-to-day operation of township government activities, the township budget and other duties required by county, state and federal law. Board members are elected for four-year terms. Dale Weidmayer was appointed Supervisor on December 18, 2007 to fill the remainder of the term of Robert Little. Dan Schaible was appointed trustee to serve the remainder of Dale Weidmayer's term as trustee on January 8, 2008.
The Board meets every second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 PM at the township hall, 11508 Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester. The public is always invited to attend these meetings. Agendas and meeting minutes are posted on this web site.

Southwest Washtenaw Council of Governments (SWWCOG)
The township also participates as a member of the Southwest
Washtenaw Council of Governments (SWWCOG), participating in joint planning
and sharing of resources. The SWWCOG meets every second Wednesday at 7:00
PM, with location rotating among the various members. Members include
Freedom, Bridgewater, Manchester and Sharon Townships, the Village of
