Freedom Township, MichiganFreedom Township Zoning Ordinance The current Freedom Township Zoning Ordinance was adopted January 25, 2001. The Zoning Ordinance defines zoning districts, appropriate structures and activities therein, and various policies and procedures to ensure coherent and appropriate planning for the township’s daily life and future. The Zoning Ordinance is considered Chapter 1 of the Freedom Township Code Book, under the recodification program adopted by the township in October 2002. See the General Ordinances page for a further discussion of the Code Book and the recodification effort. The Zoning Ordinance is a large document. To facilitate downloading and printing on dial-up modem systems, it has been broken up into separate files for each chapter. If you know the specific chapter of interest to you, you can go directly to that chapter. Otherwise, it is recommended that you download and view the detailed Table of Contents to assist in determining the appropriate chapter(s) of interest.
